This notice explains what personal data ScaffPilot processes and why.
What we collect
- Account data you give when you sign up: name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and optionally company, country, phone and main scaffold system.
- Licence data: your edition, the state of your card subscription (card payments are processed by Stripe – we do not see or store your card details), and when and from which kind of client (web, desktop) and version the app last checked your licence.
- Your projects: files you save on your computer stay there. Cloud files – with their preview pictures and the files embedded in them – are stored on ScaffPilot’s servers, together with who changed them last and when. FEM calculations run on your own computer.
- Teams, sharing and invitations: the teams you belong to and your role in them, the people a file is shared with, and invitations. When you invite someone, we store the invited email address to match the invitation to their account, and send them an email on your behalf with your name, your optional message and, for a project, a picture of the plan. While you are in a shared cloud file, the others in it see your name and what you have selected.
Why
To provide your account, licence and cloud files (contract), to deliver the invitations users send (legitimate interest), to keep the service secure (legitimate interest), and – only if you ticked the box – to send you product news (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
How long
As long as your account exists. Cloud files are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted, and a deleted cloud file is removed permanently. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data and object to processing. Write to info@scaffpilot.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies and local storage
The website and app store only what is needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings. No advertising cookies.
