Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026

By creating a ScaffPilot account you agree to these terms.

Licence

One user account is one personal licence for one named person. Do not share your login or let anyone else use your licence: a licence may be signed in on at most two devices at a time, signing in on another device signs out the one used longest ago, and a licence that is moved between devices too often is stopped. We may sign out devices, and suspend a licence that is shared. Everyone who uses ScaffPilot needs their own account, also in a team. The Free edition is free of charge without time limit. Paid editions are bought in the app and paid by card at the prices on the pricing page (excl. VAT), see Card payments below; when a paid edition ends or is not paid, the account continues as Free.

Files and outputs carry the edition, the app version and the licensed user they were made with. Outputs of the Free edition say ScaffPilot Free version instead of a company name, and a project saved with Free keeps the limits of Free when opened with another user’s paid edition. Do not remove or alter these marks.

Card payments

Paid editions and extra storage are card subscriptions – yearly, or for Engineer and Enterprise monthly if you choose so – that renew automatically at the end of each paid period at the prices then on the pricing page, until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time in Manage subscription in the app; the edition or storage then stays until the end of the period already paid and the account continues as Free after it. Payments are processed by Stripe: we do not see or store your card details. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again for a few days; if it does not go through, the paid edition ends. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the paid period; moving to a bigger plan takes effect at once and the difference for the rest of the period is charged.

Your responsibility

ScaffPilot is a design and calculation tool. You remain responsible for your scaffold designs, for checking the inputs and results, and for having designs approved where the law or the client requires it. Structural calculation results support, and do not replace, the judgement of a qualified designer.

Your content

Your projects and files are yours. We do not claim any rights to them.

Cloud storage

Cloud files are stored on ScaffPilot’s servers within the storage quota: Free 30 MB, Engineer and Supplier 300 MB and Enterprise 500 MB per user; a team space has 300 MB, or 500 MB when the team owner has Enterprise. More storage is available for a personal or team storage account in blocks of 500 MB at 5 € per block per month (excl. VAT) – a team pays once, not per member. Extra blocks are bought in the app and paid by card in the same way as the editions. A save that would go over the quota is refused.

The cloud keeps only the latest version of each file. There is no version history and no backup of cloud files that we could restore, so keep your own copies of anything important – Save a copy to this computer writes a normal ScaffPilot file. Deleting a cloud file is permanent, and the cloud files in your own storage are deleted when your account is deleted.

Teams

Creating a team needs ScaffPilot Engineer, Enterprise or Supplier. The team owner invites members as editors or viewers; members – also those on Free – work in the team’s files with the team’s storage and the features of the owner’s edition. The team owner’s plan decides: if the owner’s paid edition ends, the team space becomes read-only and its files are kept.

Sharing and invitations

You can invite people by email to a team or to a single project, and send a project to a customer to review. You are responsible for whom you invite and what you share: invite only people you have a reason to work with, and share only content you have the right to share. Invitation emails are sent on your behalf and show your name; a project invitation also includes your optional message and a picture of the plan. An invited person without an account creates a free ScaffPilot account and accepts these terms. Viewers and customers see the plan read-only. You can remove a member or revoke a share at any time. To prevent misuse, we limit how many invitations can be sent a day.

Fair use

Do not share accounts, attempt to get around the licence check or the storage quota, use invitations to send spam or otherwise misuse the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Changes and availability

We develop ScaffPilot continuously and may change features. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service; the desktop app keeps working offline for a grace period.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ScaffPilot is provided as is and our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last twelve months.
